The NorthMont Products variable ballast river Drift Anchor® allows boaters to easily change anchor weight regardless of the location and needs.
Designed by master river anglers frustrated with the haphazard results and frustration of using a sea drift anchor, chain, or cement block to achieve a controlled drift, our Drift Anchor® keeps you smoothly drifting on course with very little effort.
Simply fill the river Drift Anchor®'s lightweight nylon bag with sand or small river stone, insert the bag into the neoprene coated nylon sleeve, and attach the Drift Anchor® to an anchor line. There is no need to bring anchor weight to your boat launch; gather sand or stone at the river bed. Fill a small bag or bucket with extra ballast to carrry in your boat. When conditions change, simply bring the Drift Anchor® in and add or remove ballast. The process is fast and simple.
The neoprene coated bag easily drifts over rocks, sand and mud on the river or stream bottom. Our resourceful design prevents the river bottom hang-ups you may experience using chain, cement blocks, or other improvised anchoring methods.
The NorthMont Products Drift Anchor® is the perfect emergency anchor for kayaks and canoes. It's lightweight and compact, folding thin and flat.
